Eltham High School is a secondary school in Victoria, Australia. It is located in Eltham, a suburb which is north east from Melbourne. It is mainly known for the creativity of its students, in areas such as art, drama, and music.

Its internationally revered music program, currently being overseen by Ms Megan George, which wins numerous awards each year, is highly developed in the brass and symphonic band areas.

The photography program, run by Mr Ian Clark, regularly turns out award-winning photographers, many of whom have been recognised internationally. A darkroom is available for student use, capable of developing over 160 photographs per hour. Aside from the photography program, the school excels in most arts including media, VCD, ceramics and general art studies.

The school has produced Tour de France winning cyclist Cadel Evans, motor sport legend Peter Brock, footballer Peter Moore, Victorian cricketer Lloyd Mash, Seven Network newsreader Jennifer Adams, actor and musician Ben Mendelsohn, actress Emily Browning, Australian actress and cinema icon Kerry Armstrong, and Australian comedian and radio / television personality Merrick Watts of Merrick & Rosso. 2008 Beijing Gymnastic Olympian Georgia Bonora also attended Eltham High School.

Sport

Eltham high has a number of very successful soccer teams, particularly in yrs 9 and 10. Coached by Mr Jon Elordietta, in 2007 the yr 8 team progressed through to the third round in a regional inter-school league. The 2008 yr 7 team is looking to be a promising one, despite having not yet played a game.

Eltham High has an award-winning Volleyball program run by Mr Greg Thomas. The school recently won its 30th VSSSA pennent since 1996. The school has produced many outstanding volleyballers that have gone on to represent Victoria and Australia at many championships. The school is without doubt the most successful Volleyball school in VSSSA history.
